Attacks of Opportunity

Post by robocod » Wed Aug 23, 2006 1:13 pm

If I break off combat by running away (and assuming I don't have Mobility/Spring Attack or whatever it is)... then I get an AoO against me by everyone in range.

So, they get a free attack. But are there any bonuses or anything, e.g. is it +4 to-hit or something, or is it just that its a free one? The manual doesn't say.

Does breaking off combat like this make me go flat-footed? So, I guess if it did, I would loose DEX/dodge bonus for the AoO? (Unless I have Uncanny Dodge).

Thanks.

From the NWN_OnlineManual.pdf (which everyone has on their PC in the folder NeverwinterNights\NWN\docs):

A character is considered to be flat-footed only when:
- They are performing a non-combat task.
- They are in ready mode.
- They move outside of the combat radius.

Making an Attack of Opportunity: An attack of opportunity is a single melee attack made at your normal attack bonus. You can only make one attack of opportunity per round.
