A question about Blipdoolploop and Lizardmen.

Post by Actually » Tue Apr 29, 2003 8:20 pm

Howdy.

Looking over the world info, I see that Blipdoolploop AND Aarilax are both listed as "greater" dieties and both listed as holding dominion over Lizardmen and Sahaugin.

So, does this represent a schizm in theology for coldbloods? How would a follower of Aarliax differ from/think of a follower of Blipdoolploop?

Also, since lizardmen are one of the "intelligent" species, is their society heirarchized (<--- Is that a word?) by SKILL or by BIOLOGY? Basically I'm wondering if the average Lizardbaby would have an expectation of growing up to be whatever they wanted, or is heredity, genetic features, etc. etc. the determining factor in setting one's role in community?

Ultimately, any info I can get on coldbloods, their culture, and their religions would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and language. I'm fiending for a coldblood language.

This request is SUPER LOW PRIORITY! I won't be submitting a character any time soon (gotta break a minor Mechcommander 2 addiction first... ). I just want some backstory so I can start developing the personality of Xielaster Red-Scale before I start worrying about stats/feats.

Thanks in advance.

*bump*

Xielaster is getting ready to start preaching the doctrine of Manifest Lizard Destiny against the pinkskins.

This may help until Orleron can get back to you with some official stuff, but I know he is super busy at this time, more so than normal, for reasons I cant say, on pain of death. ;)

With Corellon, basically he is the F/R deity, pulled over to Avlis, and there are IC reasons why this is. Not to digress however, basically I have Corellon (my dm Deity, not that Ive ever needed to use him, or ever will) act and have much the same ethos as he does in F/R, but in avlis.

I would suggest the same with Blipdoolploop AND Aarilax, as they are also generic D&D gods, that you use the same ethos they have and flesh out your priests from there.

Who knows, do a good job, and Orleron might make you the first high preist of Blipdoolploop. Wouldn't THAT be something to write home about. 8)

Just a bit of trivia on Blibdoolpoolp - she's female.

And very very ugly - naked human woman with head and claws of a lobster - or at least that's how she looked in the old PnP D&D.
