SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!

I SO want to be Avlis' first true cleric of Blipdoolploop!

Too bad I'm a k-r4d d00d... I'm certain my name is on that watch list somewhere.

Bye Now,
Jerry Cornelius - I'm very dissapointed in you Adrian. VERY. Putting myself back together after having my intrinsic field subtracted was the first trick I learned...

Yes, I SO want to see Actually play the first true cleric of Blipdoolploop!

Also, I have to say that this is the coolest thing that's happened since I started playing here.

oh poop Orcs and right after I created a half orc (which is really trying to be a full orc). Good thing I havent gone very far with him.

Of course I have no idea if I would qualify. I'll wait, this will be cool the first time Melakin has to meet a real PC orc hehe

oh what to do what to do

We went along with the clipping for other reasons that are far better than the drawbacks. I just can't reveal everything yet, can I?

Can we get an outline either here or in the World Info forum of the kind Jad requested there, i.e. race bonuses, etc.???

This will be helpful in developing character concepts. For instance, are Goblins (as a race) supposed to be crafty or stupid? Weak or strong? They're obviously ugly. :)

Edit: Hahahaha. (see below)

Goblins are the ultimate epitome of sheer and unadulterated manliness! Gnomes are a close second...

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

i have IE's java, but it isnt what the CODI thing wanted. So I downloaded the sun java, when i installed it, 1) cant find where to put the character creator.jar or how to get the java applet to find and recognize it and 2) now my yahoo java games (like chess) wont work, so im gonna uninstall the sun java, and guess ill go without the customrace creator.

You need to associate the sun java program with jar files under the properties of the character generator icon.

So the new race choices will have thier own bonuses and drawbacks as far as stat modifiers and feats are concerned?

Not that I am surprised at all, but it seems that goblins and kobolds are the worse possible race choice with no balancing benifit for the negatives taken.

When I start out as a goblin, do i get to be not kill on sight to the other goblins, bugbears and such, etc? Or does one start as the normal starting player?

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

I just wanted to point out that the settings in the character creator didn't list AvlisHak.HAK until i made the .HAK lowercase.

Spell Resistance, and the number stands for %.

5% SR

Actually it is spell resistence, but the number is not %.

If your SR is 20 and a wizard casts magic missile at you, the wizard needs to roll a d20 and add his level to it. If that number is higher than 20, the spell effects you. If not, then you resist the magic.

Keep in mind two things about goblins and kobolds. First, these are roleplaying rewards. It will be kinda difficult to build some sort of uber character from these guys, whether they have tons of special abilities or not. If you are playing a goblin or kobold, it won't be because you want to powergame them. They are obviously bad for something like that.

Second, goblins and kobolds are just another one of the major races on Avlis, and thus are not necessarily kill on sight. If an orc walked into Mikona, people would think, "ok, someone is visiting from Brekon". Same with a goblin. There's tons of them in Brekon. Same with kobolds in Drotid. The important thing about Avlis is you have to realize that it's not a clickety hackfest where just because something is evil and ugly, you kill it. It really is designed to be a roleplay first and kill later world.

Up until now goblins have only been NPC's, so you've only interacted with the jerktards of the race. But once players start doing them, it will be different.

No way, I think a bunch of people (including myself) would love to play a goblin or a kobold just for the RP opportunities. Forget that they get slightly worse abilities, think about how much fun you could have with a kobold barbarian or paladin?

Interesting, so the goblins and kobolds have an advanced society and recognition by other nations. Does this mean they don?t have alignment restrictions and they can become a part of other societies? I have always thought of goblins nasty beasts trying anything to get you. What are the unique things about goblins and kobolds in Avlis in the way they relate to the world?

Goblins, hehe, Goblins, hehe, sweet.

Am v. disappointed that in last few weeks no one has responded to personal ad placed in Shire Weekly. "Toothless, fetid greenish creature ISO blue-eyed curly-headed hobbit. Must enjoy squatting in darkness, jewelry-fondling, and referring to self in third person. No smokers."
