Spell problems

I'm not going to say not working as intended... but that's just because the wiki for some reason might be out of date, or incorrect in some way I don't understand.

Tomnan is current lv29: Barbarian (15) / Wizard (3) / Palemaster (11)
Skills: UMD (0 ranks), Spellcraft (31 ranks)
Other: Stonewall-Rager lv8


When using the item "Essence of Power" which lists itself as Greater Magic Weapon CL (10) 1/day, his weapon is enchanted to +4.
The expected result is only +3, where GMW is +1/(5 CL) + militant. In this case that is 10/5 =2 and lv6 militant bonus adds +1. 2+1=+3 enchantment.

When casting Greater Magic Weapon, his weapon is enchanted to +2.
This is the expected result, as Wizard + odd_palemaster = 3+6 = CL9. 9/2 + 1 = 2.8 which rounds down to +2.


Not that it's on Avlis but to confuse this even further... Tomnan gets +5 from the same item on Hala/Ysgard!



on Avlis this would correlate with Spellcraft also giving the same +1 CL / 5 ranks (bumping the item to CL16) as UMD does.
on Arkaz/Hala I believe that GMW is calculated at CL/4, rather than CL/5, which would make the same CL 16 a base +4.

All I can say is, working as intended for Arkaz. Spell effects, and other systems, are different between each of the four worlds of CoPaP.
