July RPotM Results!

Post by Belasco » Mon Aug 10, 2009 5:30 pm

We had an outstanding turn out for July! It was tons of fun to watch all the votes come in.

We have a decisive tie for 1st with an almost unprecedented number of votes!

Isadora Arnemeigne
and
Thorfinn Kiff

Nipping at their heels in 2nd place we have Avlis' favorite opportunist!

Fletcher Millstone

Comments:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Stook is the greatest and most hilarious evil sidekick in existence. No goblin on Avlis, or perhaps even in DnD altogether, has seen so much abuse and is still ever thankful.

Thorfinn's portrayal of someone going through profound grief is impressive.

Taking a character you adore, turning her world inside out and upside down, and then playing through the consequences is a tough challenge, and the way it's been done is to be commended. So Vintrinia gets my vote.

Fletcher- Its great to have the opportunity to rp with the man of opportunity (ok that was terrible). I look forward to continued interactions with him and selling slaves through him.

Silver Fox is a wonderfully thought out and superbly played character.

Ellowin Snyder for having the class to tell a story that had an end.

Brongar is one of the best role-played characters I've ever encountered. His dialog and mannerisms pull me in every time I play with him. Always in character, he makes me *believe* he's a dwarven fighter. I don't think Tolkien could've done any better.

Lucien Dark is far more intimidating than he has any right to be.

Karna'yeritath Zamanena - (yes I spelt it all!) is so much fun to play with. His witty banter and imaginative conversations are really what makes Avlis fun for me and makes me strive to be a better player.

Ash has always been a gritty, naughty boy with the deepest heart and rawest talent. Well, now he's on the verge of becoming a real man because he has FINALLY (at least since Adagio was around) met his match.

Smeec, ah... just plain and simple...

Kurn cracks me up great to be around, not to mention his constant bickering with Isadora

Fealith Anifail & Hebrin Maul - Because, after all these years, they still catch me unprepared.

Davilia is a delightfully friendly person to RP with who I can totally relate to.

Shelly is the quintessential old seadog, piratesque character that's a lovable rogue

Rollek for a gleeful murdering spree and taking the results of it like a man/orc.

Isadora: Isadora-ble! No, actually she's crass, crude, crazy, and prone to violence. But she's awesome.

Freddy, for selling Kurn...Kurn for selling Kurn!

Nawen Amakiir is fun, frustrating, emotional and stoic just name a few sides of the character. She can be compassionate one moment and cold as ice the next. Makes for a lot of fun because you never know.

Ed has such a short name for a character with so much depth. His RP is consistently outstanding and does tend to draw a crowd as he seems to know just about everyone.

Thorfinn: An all-around fun PC to roleplay with, whether serious or joking. He's someone to look for when he logs in.

Rye cause he is bag full of ideas and emotions: he can be wise and calm as ancient sage or joyful kid that licks glass of candy shop.

If they gave out scout badges on Ablus, Cale Bross would not only win them all, he'd kill anyone else who had one just to weed out the competition.

ISA-DOOORAAA!! ( that moment made my week, so sad very few witnessed that)

Sher'cha &Chanenee----Both maidens, both fun to RP with. wish I could've just picked one, but with the maidens, you can never have just one . both enriches the RP I experience when I log on. thats about all I can say because there is so much more to say

Thienna's internal struggles... loyalty to her friends, her curiosity for her art... are truly a pleasure to watch. I do look forward to seeing how they unfold.

About Miriel, well... her char moves stories, rather than being moved by them.

Korecran is a very scary looking dude. He wears a suit, plays a harp, and seems to have some interesting inter-turmoil. I'm looking forward to finding out what his inner conflict is.

Freddy Arlan is every bit the suspicious Halfling you think he is. I don't trust him!

Xovvox was just great, truly propertied a low cha, and low int character beautifully

Deostori- cause she is deep. You can dig in her but probably you will die before you reach the limit.

Kandi - big box of sweet candies, but with poison inside.

Sher’cha is great. You never know what sort of sillyness/crazyness she will do/say/sing next.

Isadora is just hilarious, and Rollek smarted off even though he new eventually it would hurt.

Coraline because she, has visuallized her emotions fantastically..
Freddy is a giggle-high (me doing that), comic-relief character that bounces his cheeky personality perfectly off of others- and doesn't hold a grudge no matter how many times you kill him!

Findail because he makes a perfect craftsman stand out, that not only has skill but flare and taste

Finn gets another vote from me this month, for another month's worth of awesome RP. He fails at Emo though - you'd think a guy whose wife of 40 IG years just died would be able to outemo Miriel... nope! Not a chance.

Coraline: With the end of her 'boy-friend' she can get back to her husband. Oh...mind there is always Rye. Warning to other small sorted males.

Rye - who don't know him? Is there girl that he wasn't picking up? Is ther person who don't like him?!

Darias puts the cruel in ebul for Makeki's chosen. Hearing him give possible recruits impossible tasks is just funny as hell - Wait does that mean I'm more twisted than he is?

Vintrinia... well, that's a nobrainer this time. Or should I say no skin?

Aiko--always fun to RP with!

Raine is a consistently fun and good character to play with in any situation... unless she's mean and makes you scary green clothing things.

Thienna always goes that extra step, lending a hand to lowbies and others that most characters would ignore - perhaps I should try a LN character myself.

Confrontational RP can be fun, and with Ang it is.

Yenefer character has a depth, and is very knowledgeable.

Mercy is a pure delight to play with. She is always in character, and is probably the only NWN character who can actually make me see her blink or do a double-take, in my mind's eye. I swear she can make her character look startled, it's amazing. She manages to pull off a tough-as-nails adventurer who is also approachable and feminine. Every game with her is guaranteed fun.

Silver is always spot-on with her roleplay. Whether gutting you in the name of her God, or defending M'Chek from the leezards.

Cale Bross is the perfect scout. Well played and very believable.

Fletcher is witty!

Korecran. A half-ogre poet and romantic with a fantastic sense of humor. I gotta sit down ... my pc with this pc ... and find out how the heck that happened

Isadora is fun watching character... very bitchy..

Vintrinia Carnen is summed up in two words: Crispy Critter. Kudos for taking a risk and RPing it to the absolute limit.

BARDS ROCK! I VOTED FOR 2! -wanted to vote for 3 -

Having only seen Silver from afar before it was easy to tell why Lyc is a respected RP'er, having gotten to RP with him, it's been hella fun

*normally witty comment withheld due to wicked hangover*

I love Finn, but I'm not "in love" with him.

Vintrinia - I have really enjoyed roleplaying with Vin as of late, I haven't really ever gotten the chance to I think, and I've really been enjoying what I've seen!

Amiru: last time I need to bother with that one bone-armed degenerate. Evil to the core and never to be trusted, scones or no scones.

Lucien carries himself with an air of importance and better-than-you attitude. This guy is subtle evil at its best.

Isadora gets my vote, for being a fun, happening character who's fast becoming an Avlis fixture. "Oh pikes!" indeed!

I find Eudaimon a breath of fresh PsPs- er, air. He is a psion roleplayed astutely, with original ideas.

I curse you, Liam Dald, for making me want to play this game. What does that bring the count up to, seven curses?

Finn--awesome as always; but particularly endearing as a man who is struggling with the loss of one he loved dearly, while still holding firm to his faith and responsibilities.

Im gonna kill Amiru for dying. So not fair! So long and thanks for all the fun.

Rye -Ok voted for another halfling I couldn’t help it. Sympathetic and thoughtful RP and took the time out to let my char blub all over him. What a tiny sweetie!

Throwing another shout out here for Ellowin because the character just totally deserves it. I'll really miss all of the fantastically fun rp.
