Heh, bad place to ask that question. MotB made the game at least playable for me, but you'll get less biased opinions over at http://www.avlis2.org/

Avlis2 would be the ~Only~ reason I would even consider buying the expansion. I have the original but never bothered with either of the expansions.

Anybody think there are five good reasons to buy the NWN2 Expansion Packs?

Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.

These expansions do what expansions do best. They expand on what was in the original game. If you liked the original enough to want more of it, then you probably wouldn't need to ask

Re: nwn 2 expansions packs worth buying?
I have one, i really enjoyed the first game and i really enjoyed the third one. The second one was my least favourite but i played all the way through, so i still enjoyed it.
If you didnt like the first one, the third still might be for you. The world map gives it a slightly differant playing experiance, then again a lot of people seemed not to like any of them.
I have no clue why, then i generally play games for the stories and not the graphics or gameplay etc, sure i didnt like the way some of the things were layed out in NWN2 but i got over it, but i realise these are major factors for other people, so to each their own.
Some of the new classes and stuff that have already been pointed out are very cool too. In fact there is now so many classes its difficult to decide what to play as! The druids new PrC storm walker or whatever its called is cool, and in A2 i think itll open up a lot of RP oppertunities, in fact druids in NWN2 are pretty rocking.
That isnt five reasons, its four paragraphs but not even four reasons. If you didnt liek the first one though, i probably wouldnt bother buying the expansion packs as we'll likely see a rant in a month or a weeks time saying you wish you hadnt wasted your money.

i think i'll probably go for it. Atleast just to take a look at Avlis 2 and have some singleplayer game to play when avlis is down. But if avlis down i'll most likly go play avlis2 and that seems fine to me.
