Avlis uses the Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition (NWN:EE) game, Release Version 8193.34.

In response to the Beamdog announcement of NWN:EE patch .35: Please note that Avlis is still using the previous patch, .34.

If you are launching the game from a platform such as GOG Galaxy or Steam, please consider disabling automated updates for NWN:EE. If the game has already updated, this will not prevent you from logging in on Avlis -- but it may result in unexpected behavior.

If you're on steam and you find issues, you can just right click the game in your library, go to properties, betas, and select the XX.34 patch from the dropdown. It'll revert you to that version.

What is the name of the specific version of NWN:EE that Avlis is using? There is 86.8193.34.1 and 86.8193.34.1(a) download. I am curious for area building reasons. Thank you!

Update:

We are aware that we have hit a limitation in the Avlis persistent merchant & storage system, on .35. We will let you know as soon as the Development team confirms a short term solution.

As a temporary solution, we are going to roll the .35 patch back on the servers. This will allow p-merchants and chests to continue to work while a solution is being tested for .35 to resolve the issue. Hopefully we will return to .35 later this week, though it will require extended downtime for the fix to run.

Our next attempt to update to NWN:EE patch .35 will take place on Tuesday, Oct 10 in USA day time. It involves database backup and migration, which means that the Avlis game servers will be down for the duration. The entire process will take a full day, hopefully not much longer. There are no actions required from your side as a player.
