I have not yet found any problems with Case-sensitivity on my Mac, although MacOS certainly is case-sensitive. The only times I had to deal with changing case was on Linux :?

1. Rename your current tlk folder to tlk_bak and create a new one, then manually place the tlk file
2. Rename the existing old copaptlk_4_7.tlk to copaptlk_4_8.tlk and see if it loads. If it does then it is likely the new copaptlk_4_8.tlk might be corrupt and would require replacing.

I copied the files manually (installer won't run for a Mac). I tried both manually placing the tlk file and renaming the old 4_7 to the 4_8 as suggested and neither worked.
The Mac is case-sensitive, does the filename exactly match the name in the error message?
SF1 says its not a case-sensitive file system.

The answer to most CS questions is "That depends...". You can choose to make OS/X case sensitive or not during the installation, IIRC. On a project I worked on, we had problems with conflicting case-sensitivity between the OS and our version control system.

Since, I noticed the Avlis installer is only for Windows players, I have written an Avlis Installer for Linux. If anyone is interested in using it, you can get it here: http://www.mrtizmo.com/avlis/avlis_installer_v1.0.zip.

It is command line-based. I know it works correctly on my Ubuntu Linux system, but I have not tested it on other distros. I suspect it may work on Mac OS X, but I have no way to personally test/verify if that is true.

It is pretty straight forward to use. If you have any questions/suggestions, feel free to PM/Email me.

Tizmo

P.S. As of right now, this is not a Team sanctioned product in any way. I wrote it for myself and am offering it to anyone else who wishes to use it.

He checked. ;-)

At any rate it looked the same to me.

@tizmo I'll check with husband.

Due to some unfortunate bugs that cropped up, the copapbaseitem.hak has been updated. This will fix any funky inventory icons you have been experiencing.

I had meant to post something about that earlier, kindof hard to explain why my power stones have transformed into power berries. :)

But seriously - great work! I appreciate.

Does this explain why ears of wheat are showing up as if they were ingots of copper, or is that a different issue? This was in the farms in Elysia. :?

Yeah, I had a left-over bit of wheat I never got around to throwing out, and now it's a ingot of copper.
Copper loaf anyone?
Permanently confused.

The psionic holly berries were fine, until I collected some holly berries and tried to use them in combat. It didn't go so well...

I noticed the copapheadhand.hak was updated a few days ago. Should we grab the new version of that as well?

The servers aren't using it yet but it wont hurt. I haven't made a new copap installer yet either.

This fixes the male head with the horns that was overwritten during the 1.69 updates.
