help with a door

Post by frogmella » Sat Aug 07, 2004 3:58 pm

yep, I'm inept and stupid ... but even reading the post below about a door script, I'm flummoxed.

I have designed a nice home in a cave ... and found a location ( a cave mouth) which I will soon purchase.

Assuming that goes well, how do I put a plot/lockable door on a cave mouth and link it to my home modules ... or is this what home-gods do?

Can anyone help with advice?

Thanks in advance

can't put doors on cave mouths, unfortunetly.

what most people do is add a very small entrance area directly inside the cave mouth where that has a door or a gate even.

got it ... presumably the cave-lobby has to be on the same tile area so player can be jumped from lobby to home-entrance waypoint?

im guessing by that comment your using a non-cave tileset for the house? so youd probably have to create a different area for the lobby
