Waiting to be approved...........

Post by Jenova-X » Sat Jun 28, 2003 1:36 am

I have been waiting for about five to six days to get into Avlis and still no word. I have heard nothing but good things about Avlis and am eagerly awaiting my acceptance. Is there anyway this can be a little speedier? Or does this mean I am not approved?

I couldn't find were to put this, so I started a new thread...sorry.

if you get in cool, but you should really tone down the size of your avatar. 80x80 is the largest that isnt frowned on :D

hope to see you around..

*sighs*

Welcome to Avlis, eagerly awaiting one. The application is processed by a single person, who has many things they do in life, as well as in Avlis. Just be patient, and you'll hear soon.

Since you've been waiting so long, I'm going to take it for granted that you've used this time to read the boards, and are now conversant with who M'Chek is, who T'Nanshi is, what server is reccomended to start on, what level you should start soloing, where the World Information is posted, and where the Bug Thread is.

If at some point during that list you said "Huh?" read the boards some more :)

Yes my good sir I am well informed and I have been approved. I think I have read the boards over and over again looking for why I was not approved (because I am very eager to get to actualy RP for once while playing NW, cause all that is out there is worlds that call themselves RP realms but they are just as mindless as a PvP arena). I will see you all on tonight after I download all the required .haks and then get something to eat (you should never roleplay on an empty stomach).
Thanks and sorry about my need for a good roleplaying server. :P

I turned in my application either late Thursday or early Friday, I believe. So I have a few days yet before it gets reviewed I take it.

I couldn't be more excited to get in and roleplay with you all. I've been reading and re-reading the forum here to get further and further aquainted with the world and its peoples.

I'm really looking forward to crossing paths with some of you soon!

I got approved on Sat. and let me just say its awesome I have done every thing from gathering wood to adventureing across different servers. Rolepleying beats the hell outta PvP. I can't stand all the crap servers out there (DSO). I like being able to actualy get aquianted with my PCs. See ya there.

I've still gotten no word on whether my application was accepted or not. Is there any way to make sure that it got through and is being considered? I know I'm over-eager, but I'm likely off work tomorrow and would love the chance to try Avlis on my day off.

If you really want to be sure you don't get accepted you could spam the boards on five different places and send many mails to avlis@blackdagger.com or even (very suicidal this suggestion, do NOT try at home kids) send a PM to Strangg.

I suggest you try having patience, Avlis will be here for a while.
So much fun,
yet so little time to enjoy it.

Sometimes if it gets to be a long time and Strangg sees the thread, he asks that the said party resend their application. Give it a bit more time, 3-5 days is not unusual.

If you sent it in on thursday or friday you shuold have received a reply by now. I have reviewed applications more than a few times since then. You should re-apply, and make sure any junk filters didn't gobble it up.

3-5 days is only not unusual when i go on vacation. Otherwise they are done withint 24 hours usually, 36-48 being the longest if something came up and i had much to do at work or sumsuch.
