Patch 1.30

Post by Papillon » Sat Jun 14, 2003 9:33 pm

Bioware posted a beta version of the upcoming 1.30 patch on their website.

One of the best bug fixes:

- Game now displays "Item Acquired:..." feedback when the acquired item is stacked onto an existing item in the inventory.
Yay! Finally our chests and death code will be able to handle stackable items properly. I just tested it, works perfectly.

Not so great:

- Changed bodybags so they are called "Remains".
WTF ?? How many more times will this silly thing be renamed ? For those that do not remember: They caused me a lot of headaches when they renamed "body bags" to "bodybags".

Oh Great - another Patch.

Another wasted 45 minutes on Dialup.

:evil:

If they want to screw it up again, why not just include it in SoU?

these should also be interesting to see:
- Fixes to Protection Vs Alignment spells.
DM's can now open and modify any inventory, including players. They can give items, take them away, or equip and unequip them. Its pretty sweet!
int GetItemStackSize(object oItem);
void SetItemStackSize(object oItem, int nSize);

Very nice. Now the DMs can crash out a specific player, in addition to lagging the server when they posses an NPC.

Good question. I'm actually not sure if we're going to wait and update to SoU at the same time. I expect there will be an official announcement made.

EDIT:
usually within 2 days.
Well, sounds like later this week. :)

Remember all you peeps that changed your Dialog.tlk files for the custom races must change it back to your original versions, for the patch to work.

We'll update to 1.30 shortly after it comes out. We will update to SoU proably a month or so from now. Orleron wants to wait until it's out world wide before he installs it on Avlis.

Yeah, we're definately not updating to SOU for quite a while after release. It's not to our advantage.

When we install the expansion we'll need to wait for avlis to update to patch 1.30 to play right?

*twitch* SoU is supposed to be backwards compatable... but given the track record, I wouldn't hold my breath...

I think it's supposed to be backwards compatible to 1.30...

I doubt SoU will be backward compatable to NWN 1.29, so you better wait to install it until we have 1.30 running.
