I can't login on my main's Gamespy account.

When I attempt to login with my main's gamespy account it says that the password or name is invalid(checked, rechecked over and over) its not.. Has anyone ever encountered this before and possibly know how to fix it?

If you recently got a new password on bioware's site, that changes your accounts password as well.

If that is the case, then the password your NWNPLAYER.INI file is remembering might not match the new one.

That is not the case nothing has been changed, as was stated I retyped it in etc..

Why this is so aggravating, no idea what the cause is..

I know this won't be helpful...

but I had this happen to me once. I tried erasing all my data (name and password) then re-entering and saving them. I don't know that anything I did worked but after a day or so I could get back on.

And you need to figure it out by this weekend b/c I still haven't been "initiated"

For me and a bunch of other players, it's seemed that after a certain amount of time (year and a half to two years?), our Gamespy accounts were cancelled. To restore them, we simply created new accounts with Gamespy, using the old Gamespy names. This was sufficient to allow you to log onto Avlis and access your old characters. As long as someone else hasn't taken your Gamespy name in the meantime, you should be able to recreate your old account just fine.

Now oddly the bioware site doesn't show my account as existing but when I try to remake it it says the name is taken.. eh?

go to the dir where you have NWN installed (C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN)
and look for a file called nwnplayer.ini open it with a text editor, scroll down untill you see:

and your password will be there in plain text for you.

Thanks for trying but that doesn't help at all. I know what my password and name are. Thought it might have been case sensitive issue like the bioware site says but meh.. its not.. so *shrugs* Does know of a bug like this minus the old account one?

Error: Invalid Name or Password or something like that is the error message..
