Unable to log on to Gamespy...

Post by Moksha » Mon Jun 16, 2003 7:54 am

I have just moved to another location. This is a kind of a “student-village” with its own local intranet (I think).

I guess it might be hard to get a good answer since I provide so little information, but I’ll try anyway.

I am able to use Internet normally (browsing websites), and I was able to play Diablo 2 through battle.net

But when I try to play NWN multiplayer Gamespy seems to have trouble with authorizing my account name. Then, no “worlds” appear in the gamespy-application…

Does anybody have an idea what is wrong?

Could I connect to Avlis directly through TCP/IP or something?

Yes you can, Kyles launcher or something... however, it sounds like a common problem to do with firewalls.
Is anyone else in your student village able to play NWN online?

I might try this launcher this evening....

However, I do not know if anyone else is able to play NWN online here.

It appears like the "firewall" I am behind disallows all UDP packets.
This seriously fucks up my online gaming experience, and in particular my participation in the world of Avlis...
