Unsporting play

Post by Nighthawk4 » Fri Aug 24, 2007 5:46 pm

This might sound old-fashioned, but it is unsporting to draw attention to bad luck or other unpleasant results suffered by other Players. In particular, certain activities - of an OOC nature - have been witnessed recently, which are likely to be the subject of official displeasure if they continue.

1. Sending Tells to an opponent in a CvC event, taunting them over the result of the event or the consequences of the event.

2. It is usually considered to be good form to offer an opponent the chance to retrieve items which have been looted after CvC. Although this is not compulsory, destroying such items and then sending a Tell to your opponent to say so is not a good move.

Incidentally, although not exactly unsporting, the following is also not a good idea:

3. Buffing up your character immediately you see that your opponent's Player has just joined the server. That is OOC - your character does not know that has happened.

4. Logging out immediately you see your opponent's Player login is also not popular.

The Team has witnessed these activities recently. Please ensure they stop, before the Team ensure they stop
Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.
