This probably goes somewhere else, but yes. Players have no authority to tell you how to follow the rules.Fuzz wrote:Maybe the simple solution is for players to just mind their business and let DMs worry about enforcing rules.
They can let you know what the rules are, let you know if they think you are violating a rule, and report to the Team if they feel you are violating a rule.
Note that IC rules are different. And gaurds do have authority over those.

That about covers it.Maybe the simple solution is for players to just mind their business and let DMs worry about enforcing rules.
Just so that everyone knows, if a DM thinks a name is borderline we have a thread that they post to and it is discussed. (This discussion is open to all team members not just DM's). If we feel a name change is needed then we go that way, if we feel the name is ok as is we go that way.
As a player, if you see a name that you think is a problem, then I suggest that you:
1) Say nothing to the player
2) Send an email to staff@avlis.org
Yeah, you see what I did there? Hiding meaning inside a longwinded rant!
<Sili> I've seen septic tanks with less shit in them than Fuzz.
<Ronnin> damm not even a kiss??
<Chasmania> Kiss Fuzz? I'd rather fellate a goat.
<Chasmania> there are many roads to Rome..they just picked a shit filled alley full of scabby hookers and bums.
The shape of things to come...

You know, I think a lot of trouble could be dealth with right then and there if someone came up with a way for a player to block tells from another player. Kinda like the old days when you could /ignore 'name' and get on with your life.
