what is with this anomaly?
I figured I'd find the oldest post I possibly could and beat solitude_peace2 to it
but seems I broke it, as the posts dated to 1969 don't exist!

It just means that the timestamp in the date column for that post had a '0000-00-00 00:00:00' value which gets converted to 12/31/1969 by the strtotime() PHP function. It's old/bad data that didn't migrate well during server migrations..
