You think Wemics are overpowered? You obviously haven't seen the Dracons stats. Now THAT is overpowered to the point it just isn't funny.

Feats:
Alertness
SkillFocus-Hide
SkillAffinity-Move Silently
SkillAffinity-Listen
SkillAffinity-Spot

Special Abilities:
Natural AC bonus

ok so insteed of choosing a feat they get alerness chosin for them..

i still say this way over powering

but hay i aint a programer or anything here

but if i was they would at most only get +4 to str and even then lose alertness

but hay .. thats my 2 cent .. and as ive found out years ago .. my two cent is heardly worth two cent to other people

Well on Wemics you forgot that they can use a normaly two handed weapon in one hands and use a tower shield at the same time. :D

A properly configured wemic character can have most impressive stats and ablities.

Yes Devastating Critical is nice but Improved Knockdown is even more so. I am on my way to have both. :D

Gairus wrote:/me points out that pure orcs have +3 strength and +1 int and don't have those ECL levels.

Dude... ECL is a penalty :p

You only get your con bonus in HP for those levels, miss the level 3 feat (and level 4 stat, but that's made up for by the obscene +7 thing) ... they are no substitue for real ones :)

Picture, if you will, spawning things that are a good two levels above what you can handle. (not a typo, since three beast levels still add up somewhat :))

*knows for a fact his drow doesn't play like she started at level 3*

Powergamer's friend, no. Fast track to devastating critical, perhaps ;))

Theory aside, maybe it's time to roll one up to see just how obscene they really play. Teehee.
i can say the ECL 3 is a massive penalty. As has already been noted, the 3 beast levels count towards the characters total level, but it also counts towards your experience progression. By the time a wemic gets enough xp to get to lev 2 in his chosen class, a normal character would be level 5 already.

I find that people who say wemic's are great for powergamers haven't truly played one for an extended period of time.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

They're great for forcing their way to certain feats, due to Epic levels benefiting specialisation - they str specialised.

But certain feats <> powergaming itself :)
