In view of recent developments, it would be really helpful if we could a few more words in Elvish please.
For example (in no particular order):
Green,
White,
Ivory, etc.....
Mage,
Sorceror,
Wizard - these might be all the same word, I suppose.
Mage Council =
Mithoeatzeth'<the Elvish word for Mage> ?
Thankyou - or should I say
Dot'ooli! ?

There is a guy in Mikona who is partial to Elven - preferably in a pie

I hear you Nighthawk.
Perhaps we can put our heads together and compile a list of words that would help here for Orl to help us with.
I have been searching for ways to say..
warrior
maiden (of course lol)
soon (near, far, close, any of these would do)
but the language has a great base, most things can be said - those are just a few words i have found no suitable way around though.

I'd like to see more animal names. Like bunny rabbit, for example (hint, hint). Brother and sister would also be nice.

Hehe - I disagree.

What, as in 'Angora sweater' or 'Angora muffler'?

Oh beware ye Lord of the Elves, less Angadar smite you for disturbing his sabbatical from Avlis while trying to write up his thesis.
of course, we all still know Dru'El is the best god of them all!

I think if we want to use more elvish words, Tolkien wrote a book the Elvish Dictionary, I think that could help quite a bit. Considering D&D is based off of everything Tolkien created.

Only problem is that the elvish of Avlis is not the same as Tolkien or Faerun even. It's Orleron's own creation - same for dwarvish, orcish, etc.,. This is in no small part so that Avlis can't be sued if/when it ever launches itself as a d20 game. Since Orl is a little busy IRL, I think Elvish will probably be on hold for a bit.

Vrosh.
Actually, the closest I can think of is the word 'etzeth', meaning 'tree'.

Quiz,
Not to hurt your feelings but you'll have to whip out your Dr. Evil(tm) devil horns smiley face to imply gruesome bloodshed on a different matter. They don't kill angora rabbits to make sweaters. They sit them next to a spinning wheel and brush it and spin the hairs into threads and that is where sweaters come from. Sometimes I think I should send you people fly tape and coupons for hand lotion.
