Note that the critical threat only happens if you can hit the critter. If you have a threat range of 10 - 20, only the 20 is an automatic hit. The rest will score criticals if you pass the threat roll, but they won't be automatic hits. In other words, if you have a base attack of +10, and a crit ran...

This may be due to the actual size of the morningstar; it's been my experience that smaller weapons tend to look like you're reaching farther, or reaching enemies that are out of the reach of the animation, but that would be simply due to the weapon model. Morningstars aren't actually supposed to be...

If by commoner, you mean craftsmen, businessmen, professional such as engineer, midwife, librarian, etc, then it should be more like 10 skill points a level I think. This is the Expert NPC class , and I think this is the NPC class you might be looking for, Deider. Experts gain rogue skill progressi...

CEP weapons and crafting
I've searched a few times for any mention of this, but nothing's turned up. I was wondering if there are any plans to implement any of the CEP weapons into the crafting system? EDIT: On another note, I remember talk a while back about possibly expanding the artificing system into enchanting weapons ...

Blade sought: Falchion
I'm seeking a solidly built falchion in fairly good condition, or a smith to forge one for me. A mundane blade is fine, I only request that it is in fairly good condition. Leave a note for Zaviel here or at the Star of the Empire Inn.

I'm really unsure how you could not meet the alignment requirements for Paladin... sure an evil character generally gets more treasure in the official campaign, but it's usually a pitiful amount more, I've found. Good characters often seem to receive more experience in tradeoff. As for being unable ...

You will have players that play for the graphics, neat stuff, and engine switching to NWNII. Anyone here for the RP, the community and the other players will not really have a need to move on, now will they? I have to agree with some of the points put above; improved mechanics often lead to better ...

WEll that seriously sucks armor skin doesnt stack. Technically, it does stack, as answered before. You just can't take it multiple times. And yes, in the DnD system it appears nimble rogues can get much higher AC eventually than fighters... however, it does balance out in that the warrior doesn't c...

Firstly, why does everyone assume that a Weapon Master is going to go for the high threat-range weapons (Scimitars, Rapiers, etc.). Some of us prefer the high multiplier weapons. Which means we do not crit all the time, although when we do it is a big hit, particularly if STR based and double-hande...

Actually, I think it's pretty lame that you can't do anything while on your back. It's not a bad defensive position, and can be a good (though not ideal, of course) offensive position if not fighting with a weapon. Also, I don't see why you couldn't use wands, rods, or potions. This is more a resul...

As in, if a monster is running to attack you, you blind him, does he stop and lose you? Or does he unerringly continue on to attack you? Yes, it can, but often they can reaqquire a lock through use of other senses, i.e. making a listen check. Note that a blind character treats all targets as having...

Correct, that is a 3.0 rule. Monks cannot be weapon masters. In fact, in PnP, monks who multiclass lose the ability to take levels in the monk class. The idea behind the weapon master, too, is that the character basically becomes so proficient with the weapon that it becomes an extension of his own ...
