Don't put to much thought into numbers and such, though. It would obviously be virtually impossible to have a realistic population modeled in the game, so what there is is just a "representation" of what is taking place. But in PnP trip is also a melee touch attack (or whatever it's called0, so it's usually much easier to land a hit than Knockdown.

Removing knockdown, while technically possible, would not be feasible at this point, too much work and too many problems.

True, although I would still say intelligence was not the correct attribute to use. Wisdom would be more fitting, sice it covers observation skills, which I think would be more useful when trying to trip someone than good recall and reasoning abilities...
