I created a temp forum for you over at http://www.rpgn.net so you can communicate until you get your issues resolved.

The forums will soon be moving from their less-than-adequate current locale (hosting loss prompted the rapid move) to a dedicated hosting facility within the next couple of weeks.

Of note: The server will also be changing locations (and IP) on Friday 03/04/05 @1200hrs CST.

As the father of two, I imagine there are no words which can adequately console at a time such as this. But Nithia, please know that you have the deepest sympathies of myself and my entire family.

It can be done with the dedicated server and a client copy.

I think Pap deserves a round of applause for being convinced all along the lag spikes were the fault of the ISP.

just click cancel after it's paused for 5 seconds and try again immediately. If you kick back and 'give it a few' it's just as likely that you're trying to connect during another bad spot. The problem with immediately reconnecting and ?kicking back and hanging on? is that if you are performing this...

You mean there's a GUI interface for FTP?! I just typed ftp://avlis.blackdagger.net in the search field in IE5 and then changed directory to the required folder. This is using XP Pro. Thanks, but I was being a smart-ass. I was attempting it from a remote Nix host via SSH and command-line. Probably ...
