Minimize lag when building areas?

I was wondering if there are some kind of recommended maximum number of placeables in an area to minimize lag / loading time etc?

Are there any other things to think about when creating an area that can minimize lag?

Search functionality broken?

Tried several searches just now and it doesn't matter what I search for. It doesn't find no posts, how general I make the search. Did it broke in the move or is this just temporary?
