The World of Avlis

I thought I was out of here for good but the reunion pulled me back. Now, the place is wonderful as I remember, but the real reason I want to stay again is the people. Having been involved in many sorts of online communities, game communities and what not over the years, overall negativity is the thing that applies to all these places. Not in here.

Since coming back, I've interacted with so many people who've helped out amazingly, said hi, offered welcomes, just rp'ed together or generally just anything that underlines how amazing this community here is. Raising my glass to people such as ShadowViper, Raar, Krackq, Drb4, Pek, Jazz, Tor, and tons of other people new and old I've met in places like Zvid and some people crucial I'll fail to mention here most likely. I don't think I'll ever see the same sort of online community again, and it's seriously renewing my faith in gamers, too. The only sad thing is that I didn't see all the familiar faces here. Hoping everyone I knew back then is doing great in their lives.

TLDR: people here are great in general and you deserve to hear it.

It's a weekday night and here are/were over 20 people on the servers. A quarter of that was at a player-scheduled event, the rest was just people who logged in. Place is hopping like it's 2008.

I haven't been playing on a regular basis for about 6 years due to my first pregnancy and RL takes over. I thought I would give it a try, when I received the reunion mail. At first I was real nervous because I couldn't remember players and which ones my character knew IG. I still have that problem, but everyone I have met have only been very helpful and kind. I would therefore like to thank all the players for the help and fun and the team for their great effort and hard work to make Avlis such a great place to be.

Thanks team and community for a wonderful fair this time around. It was a lot of fun. Amazing roleplay. Plenty of gossip. So much DM interaction. Really interesting items for sale. I could go on and on..

It's been really good connecting with people again and experiencing what a great community we have here. It's truly irreplaceable and some of my fondest memories of any gaming experiences I've had are all tied to this place and these people.
