I don't recommend updating NwN right now, unless the game is already unplayable.

They're having a massive issue with their antipiracy software that is causing it not to run the game past the NWN Loader and Splashscreen.

Why they added anticopy protection when they already have the tried and true CD key system is beyond me, now half the world is really pissed off.

Anyone got a workaround?

Just browsed through win explorer to see if i could find a workaround, i found a DEAD EASY one.

run nwmain.exe from your NeverwinterNights folder.

*runs off to the bioware boards*

Thanks Macleod. We have not had any problems with our software. Perhaps it was because Silk and I updated everything manually? I don't know.

The problem seems to occur mainly with 'convenience' programs like daemontools

I didn't work for me, so I had to throw in the real game CD and now NWN starts without problems again.

Some people seem to have problems with their cdrom drives. If you experience this problem, then grab a nocd patch from the well known sources. I heard the crack was released one hour after 1.21 went online...
