Hi 'm interested in joining the A A A A, someone told me to PM someone but I didn't think just PMing them out of the blue when they have no idea who I am is very polite, so could anyone point me in the right direction atall please. (sorry if this has been posted before but it would take far too long to check every topic as there are 44 pages now, and I am unaware of a search function)

My character's in it but it's probably best that you find out in-game... just ask around, you'll get pointed in the right direction
very soon. Also, Search can be found right below the Avlis picture at the top of your screen, fourth from the left.

This contains both the IC and OOC info you need. But yes, please first visit one of the branches or find a member elsewhere (that link should link to where you can find that info too!)
Does the "someone" who told you to PM someone else happen to BE a member?

Yup, I think my character was it, who told him to get in contact with a journeyman and PM his interest to one of them, after I am pretty unsure if an apprentice can or cannot decide. Though I also recommended a person today to join the AAAA after he wanted to get Avlis' best weaponcrafter.
Just to clarify and no secrets

.
Since....
An interview with a member is the first step in a screening process, intended to identify an applicant's suitability for membership in the guild, which continues until application requirements are completed. It is important to note that an application can be rejected at any time at the discretion of Guild leadership. Such a decision is final and non-negotiable.
well dunno, if apprentices can decide that.

Yes, actually, if an apprentice knows that he is talking to Avlis' biggest klepto, or anyone he reasonably believes would not be a good fit, he can tell the interested character to keep walking.

Oh no Marleh, that was not the case, not at all.
Sorry then for passing this person by....

I would have to say that the best thing to do is give the interested person a few names of journeymen/officers and tell that person to talk to them. Then you can write somethnig on the AAAA forum stating you spoke to this interested person and that the journeyman should keep their eyes open for that person because they will be around asking questions. Then We can also look for the person who is interested in joining.
