Yes, yes, yes! Join the lizard horde!!

And yeah, Rhiss's design is basically what I imagine a Drotid Warrior being like. I had the build long before I found Avlis, was kinda funny when it fit so very very well. *smiles*

Not a chance!! JOIN THE ORC HORDE! We are even cooler!

Or join the orc horde lizard horde alliance run by Rhiss and Bash to destroy all other races ... period.

Yes, lizardmen rogues are just as brutally effective in full plate... throw in a barbarians rage, a fighter's weapon specialization, a monk's fists, or a ranger's favored enemy: elf....

It's interesting that the Drow's favoured class is Cleric.

Makes sense, though, doesn't it ? The Drow culture is ruled by a matriarchal theocracy, so...

Wait. What's the big word for the church ruling the country ? That's it, right...?

A church ruling a country? That's nonsense! What in Valok's name made you even consider such a possibility ;)

And I am pretty sure theocracy is the right word :)

Technically, theocracy means more along the lines of "rule by a god", although because a church is usually responsible for interpreting the god's will, it becomes a fixture in a theocracy...

Theocracy is literally translated out to Rule by god. Built on the words "theo" which means "God" and "cracy" which means "form of government".

Generally Theocracies rulers are also the ruler of that specific church, because they are seen as the intermediate of God to the masses. The government generally claims to rule on behalf of God, because God would be busy running the infinite cosmos, and so on.

Theocracy is generally quite different, though, to the various religious monarchies, where the monarch was 'ordained' to rule by God, or where the government policy was influenced by state religion.

For some more fun reference! There are even different kinds of theocracy. caesaro-papism, rulership is shared between a religious and a political leader. An emperor and a pope for instance... read up on the government structure of the Holy Roman Emperor for more on this, if you like. There is also rule by the clergy, where the clergy iteself runs the government.

The often misinterpreted view of Theocracy being a government based on the strict law of a religion is actually a system called Theonomy. Generally though, the two interlink, because of obvious similarities.
