It was two separate major battles. Lag was horrid, but fantastic battles.

I must say I was impressed how well the server held when the fight broke out in the underdark. To everyone involved, I had a blast! :D Finally got to gut some elites without bleeding on the ground within seconds.

Regarding the area spells when the Pc's came through the transition, it wasn't our intention. Sorry about that.

Yeah it was a blast and kept waiting for the server to go down. Never did. :P

Hats off to the Team and to the players that left the server and allowed us to actually finish the event.

My hat goes off to the players.

Several groups in particular

I sent a shout to the server about the capacity and lag situation and a significant number of you responded favorably by moving either to Ferrell, the Wilds, or just logging off. That was impressive as I expected a bit of whining on the DM channel and I don't think I had a single "whine" out of anyone.

Secondly, for the groups invovled in the plot, for your patience. We had 2 DMs floating 5 groups on the Wilderness and Elysia. Several groups had a long wait time before they saw any action.

Thanks especially to Lasher for helping implement lag control and managing groups in my absence.

Again i have to say thanks to DMs for organising such cool event ...It was a first time I was a part of something emprsive like that. Lag control was amazing.

Whines about being at work rather than having fun killing PC's...errr Helping Lasher with Lag control.......

Oh, good. I sent you a joking tell, and later realized it might have come off as grumpy and/or whiny. Sounds like all is good, though. :D

I'll ditto everyone's sentiments here. My hat's off to the PC's on the other side of the equation. That didn't really go as we had hoped it would, for sure. Things will be different next time, we will set things up differently. For a lot of us, (myself included) we don't see much large scale CvC involving actual combat. I haven't been in a fight of that magnitude involving conflicting PC's for over a year, and hindsight being 20/20, I think we can all agree that there are ways to make it better than it ended up being.

However, the event was fun, and I'm glad I got to participate in it. Thanks to all involved.

You American fascists, you make those events at times unreachable for us, poor working Europeans... ;)

I am glad you had fun, just envy you... :)

Not only did I leave for Ferrell, I RP'ed accosting 3 different players at the Elysian border on the Ferell side, as per my IG instructions to be wary of anyone I didn't know heading down the Ferrell road.

Two of them turned back... one assured me he was just passing through.

*grins* That was fun!

That was the first time I've ever been involved in anything like that and even with the lag it was tons of fun. The waiting times between fights in Elysia wasn't too bad and even worked plot wise. With the lag the waiting time gave us time to reform our lines and occasionally when people got cocky they'd suddenly end up face to face with some huge thing wielding an axe *grin*

I was sorry not to get to join in the the rest of the battle, but logged off to try and save the poor overworked server.

Well done. I'm looking forward to the next one :)

See there is your problem. Once you are here in Avlis, no such thing ever exists again for the player. So stop fighting it and just give in to it.

No. This is how it has to be.

If it is set for euro evening times americans have to skip work to attend.
It it is set for american evening times euros only need to stay very up late to attend.

The choice is obvious.

Now Ell,
I wasn't that cocky! And yes, those orcs were huge, so were their axes. I had a great time in my first larger scale battle. Went pretty smooth, even with the lag. Thanks everyone.
