These guys are doing some great things... I know this hak will never see the light of day on Avlis or whatever, but there is no denying how awesome this project is.

Download a mod and use this hak on it, it's a blast. Over 40 new prc's, 40 feats, and something like 60+ spells

Good stuf :)

We've looked at it for our world which is in the making. Muchoes snazzy stuff. We're hardly caring about sizes of hakpacks. We're up to 500 MBs of rar'ed hakpacks already and considering shipping CDs with all custom content to our members when it's done.

Anyways, didn't mean to promote a non public future server here. Just saying that it'll be fun to try out and I might post here how it turns out. From what I understand it's easy to disable certain PrCs if they aren't fitting, and I'm comfortable enough with editing 2da files to customize them for our world if something isn't exactly as we like it.

As I understand there are PrCs in Avlis that haven't been put in the game yet. Perhaps the PrC Consortium can be of help here. I've asked for help earlier on their forum and they're most willing to help.

Ok, that was my $0.02 :)

Couple of the those PrCs are actually really damn cool... (Frenzied Berserker, anyone? CHARLES LIVES!)

Damn shame Avlis will never use any of them. That's the breaks.

Although the PnP ones do seem to just be based off the PnP rules, so, like Psionics, I don't really see a reason why they couldn't be added, other than bug fixing and requiring a lot of tlk fuckery, as well as more quests.

The classes can be readily disabled for balance purposes... a few are anywhere from a bit to way overpowered and a handful are broken/bugged. (but they are working on em, afaik).

Anyway, the majority seem to be pretty similar to the ones that shipped with the expansion packs. Most of em' are cool for rp purposes and/or to provide a bit of variety in the gameplay/combat department. Most aren't even close to imbalancing, especially considering what's allready available in the SoU/HoTU expansions.

been playing on another pw as an oozmaster... it's all about the ooze, baby! ;)

Um... a lot of those are PnP prestige classes, which would be why they seem similar.

Avlis is primarily based on PnP, though it takes the limitations/changes in NWN in stride.

Listed in order of severity from least to greatest, why we don't use PRC.

1) We have no real idea how well those classes are balanced in CoPaP and it would take a hella long time to test them all.

2) Some are broken and unbalanced.

3) tlk fukery

2) The amount of work required to integrate all those new spells and epic spells into our existing systems is INSANE.

1) PRC uses creature hides. Our custom race system uses creature hides too. Likely, the two are not compatable, and would probably need to be integrated together.

I'm not saying it will never get used. I'm just saying it's not being planned right now simply because of the huge amount of work involved.

Breckon, Dubunat, Toran Sharda, Wastes, Tyedu, Jechran, Galdos, Seven Cities, Kurathenes, Drotid...

Maybe when we have those servers up, running, and fleshed out we can take a look at it.

Oh, hey, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to lobby for this thing to find it's way into Avlis (thus the posting in general nwn, rather than the avlis forum), I just think it's a really, really cool project ;)

I'm sure the class is quite juicy. *rimshot*

Don't get me wrong, there looks like a lot of cool stuff in there.
