HoTU and UniversalHak_2_5 hak changes custom heads

I don't know how many other people have this problem, but there have been some head changes to characters created before the new Universal hak was put online. There was a bug report made but it is more a necessity than a bug.
Since the custom heads have been changed by HoTU adding in the new ones, I'm assuming a simple fix will not be on the way. I've gone through the UniversalHak_2_5.hak and there are dozens of changed heads, so that could be a ton of work to fix. The new HoTU heads obviously meant the numbering in the .hak had to be changed or they would overwrite the new ones. Pretty much the only way I see to get back the old head is to have someone edit your bic file on the server. I don't think asking for that would be a way to make friends with the team.
Unless... Would there be a way to write up a batch file to edit the .bic files in the vault? I haven't seen a command line or batch editor for bic files. It would have to target only the files created before the update and change specific heads to the correct ones (eg. pmh0_head026 > pmh0_head046). That part isn't too difficult as long as there is a proper list of the files that have been changed. I'm no programmer but even I could write something like that with a command line bic editor, though it would be ugly as hell.
Obviously it would have to be tested on a backup copy and done when the servers are offline. I don't know what the server vault setup is like for Avlis so this may cause a headache.
Just tossing in a few ideas. Like I said, I don't know how many people have been affected by this. It is only a problem if you made your character with a custom heads from the old Universal hak AND it is one of the numbers used by the new HoTU ones.
If it isn't going to happen, I guess I'll just get used to running around looking like a butch Pee Wee Herman.
