My alt is a level 36 elf cleric/fighter she has 18 cleric and 18 fighter so there is no experience penalty. I am thinking of adding a few levels of rogue that is in keeping with her build as she too the trickery domain.

So my question i know if i took rogue levels for her she would suffer an experience penalty but what would it be?

I thought it was 20% ? Not that it's important. I purposely took a penalty with Kandi cos I didn't want her to level too quickly.

It is 20% per class you are off on. Trust me. Back when we had token xp at 1 ( or 2 if you got lucky) for anything that wasn't relatively epic for stuff to kill (and nwn rounding everything down) even a -20% penalty sucked (0 xp for pretty much anything). Now it isn't a big deal, unless all you do is kill crop rats. *Hugs Nob*

*shuts up before getting smacked for reviving the old xp system rant*

Yeah... I have to agree with Gorgon here. I've had a 20% XP penalty since 15th level (now 36th), and while it certainly torpedoed the XP on the old system, it doesn't seem to be a problem these days... or maybe I've just gotten used to it. Of course, the 40 level cap will be a much bigger issue than the penalty ever was.
