Help after a reinstall

A quick question,

After reinstalling NWN I can't hear some of the voice sets anymore (at least two that I know of) and some of the sound effects don't sound right either. Particularly the sound made by "opening" a plant and the "this container is full" sound is gone completely. I don't know what the names of the voice sets I can't hear are. But I miss my characters "Hooray for me" cheer...

What am I missing? This isn't the end of the world but it is a little annoying.

Have you checked your IG sound settings? Sometimes after changing one thing or reinstalling the settings will go back to default. If you have 5.1 sound for example and the game is set for 2 speakers or 4 speakers, you won't hear some things.

Also, you may wish to check the connections from your speakers to the computer. If the connections went loose that can cause some problems too. If those don't work, reinstall your sound card drivers and see if that don't fix it.

I had a very similar problem with not hearing battle sounds until i reinstalled my soundcard drivers.
