The World of Avlis

There are a few player races that are lacking information on the background. The Gnolls, the Kobolds, and I think the Goblins, are all missing history and creator info.


I'm just creating a Gnoll now, and I'd like to know more about thier history and culture on Avlis. I've always been a fan of Gnolls.

Actually, if you look at the background for the lizardfolk you will see that gnolls and several other races were minorities and hence slaves to the lizardfolk. Start there.

The giant-kin and goblinoid races generally fall under Maleki. They tend to have their biggest organized population centers in the city of Brekon, and secondarily in The Seven Cities. Throughout the rest of Avlis, they are much more sparsely dispersed. Kobolds are an Aarilax race, on the other hand, and their origins are more in the Drotid area, but yes all of the above are used as slaves both in the underdark and by the lizard men.

I have not published specifics on the cultures because I am a bit behind on expanding the world info due to RL stuff right now.

Bah, it is only a PhD you are doing, right? How much time can you possibly need for it? Any RL stuff that needs your attention, just cut the time out of what you are spending on the PhD.

PhD, say 3 hours a week? pregnant wife can't need more then half an hours attention each week right? And once the babby is born, she'll be able to get about more easily, so you shouldn't have to pitch in with more then an hour a month to help her out occasionally right?

Has anyone had any trouble moving to servers outside of Tnanshi with a custom race? Everytime I go to portal to another server the game locks up on me.
