Re: The Omni-Present Currently Playing Thread

Had the urge to double post after a certain RK in chat kept complaining about work and life suckage all the time, and recent chat stuff with Hamlet (heh)... This is for the Kassha player in all of us. Work sucks, so deal with it whatever way you can (80's Slugcology!) Even tweaked my sig a bit on a ...

Re: The Omni-Present Currently Playing Thread

One of my favorite "Old Fart" artists to watch when he tours this way, which he does frequently. He can still hit the high notes from the Supertramp days, but his solo stuff is worth a listen to if you have the time.

Re: Avlis Needs You!

QA (Quality Assurance) is like the middle child in the list up there that no one pays much attention to, but trust me, we need QA folks all the time. More QA folks trying to break new stuff means fewer things break when it goes live. QA staff are one of the most important things we use and abuse her...

Re: The Omni-Present Currently Playing Thread

If you leave a pair of 80's and 90's synth-pop junkies home alone together, you shouldn't be surprised at what you hear (or see) when you walk in the door.

Just sayin... 8-)

Something old and something new (Dido finds her way into playlists here pretty often)
Hunter (Live at Brixton Academy) and
Give You Up
The last one is from her album this year. She's only a few years younger than me, and definitely looks (and sounds) better. :grandpa:

Re: The Omni-Present Currently Playing Thread

There are a lot of old songs I've listened to before, but never really paid that much attention to the lyrics. This is one that I finally really listened to tonight, and I was pretty amazed how close to home it hits (yeah, I know... mushy stuff). :)

Re: The Omni-Present Currently Playing Thread

We've been going through somewhat of an Enya binge-fest here over the last week, so I figured I'd share a bit from her last album. Enya - Even In The Shadows She still looks and sounds amazing for someone older than me (all women stop aging at 25 according to my mother), has more money than I'd ever...

Re: The Omni-Present Currently Playing Thread

My playlist generator keeps tossing this one in mine lately, and if you had asked me 4 or 5 years ago, I'd have called it one of my theme songs. Not so much these days with recent *coughs* improvements to my life, but it is still a fun, toe-tapping summer song. Besides, I'm a big fan. :prost: The Tr...

*Bumpity* - Less than 3 days to go with the sale above! Also another freebie today. Toonstruck (1996) . I figured I'd never play it until I saw the list of voice actors, so I'll give it a try just for that. Starring Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, Taxi) and featuring the vocal talen...

Re: NWN GOG Specials Again!

NWN: EE + Diamond is on sale again at 65% off ($5.99 US) during the summer sale. Also, the full NWN: EE Digital Deluxe + Diamond is on sale for $13.29 by itself (normally $44.30), and less when you buy it with others from the Beamdog D&D Collection (as low as $6.64 if you buy all 12 titles). It com...

Re: Barter Bug

I prefer the middle wheel button for panning and zooming, so no need for the edge stuff in a window. I haven't found anything about that problem so far in my searching, but I'll keep looking. If it was a higher resolution then I might suspect the scaling or some such, but 1600x900 is not that big. I...

Those files should be in there. BioWare added them to fix a few goofs in the last update.

I'm not sure what to suggest. Do you play fullscreen or in window mode when the problem happens?

Re: Barter Bug

Odd. I used to play at 1600x900 on one box quite a bit, though in window mode, and also have it used at that resolution on a few laptops.

Do you have any overrides that might be messing with the GUI?

Re: Summons vfx causing crashes

There are many glitchy (broken) models in the haks that can cause issues with video cards and drivers depending on how they are placed (like those big gems buried into walls and floors). Sometimes it is a combination of more than one model with VFX trying to work together. Newer drivers and cards se...

Ditto! Was just trying to figure out what time this afternoon's event is, and even after several minutes Googling, still not sure. Try using "20 GMT to pdt" in a Google search, or whatever your timezone is (pdt is pacific daylight time for annoying DST). It works amazingly well. Try me! And yeah, I...

Re: Alteration machines!

Clothing alterations were something we wanted here after the CEP added basic altering as an option, but Avlis wanted it to be more of an IC thing that took PC tailoring and armor skill into account. As with a lot of projects back in those days, the work on it ended up being left behind when someone ...

If you want the calendar stuff up at the top of the forum hidden, you can click the "Events switch off for today" link under it (left side). That will only get rid of it during this session though. If you want it hidden every time you visit (I do for my phone), then add the following at the end of w...
